Chase and the Bones was created in 2021 by lifelong friends, sharing a love for music. The band has gone through different members, each adding their own flavor to the mix. Fusing jazz, surf, country, rockabilly, rock, Afro-Cuban, ska, and half a million other styles, Chase and the Bones has always been that weird hybrid that just works. The cats have managed to narrow it down to simply calling it “surf-rockabilly”, and they’re sticking with that for now. Chase and the Bones is a mostly instrumental band, but is always stoked to perform with founding member Austin Root on vocals and guitar from time to time when he’s back in town from Nashville, Tennessee.
